In short

Say you plan a box of 10 pens, but you type 8 on the purchase. Amazon counts 10. Nothing is lost, but the numbers don’t match. SourceDock spots the gap, tells you what likely happened, and never calls it a claim when nothing is missing. You see it in two places. Purchases > Reconcile shows a card when your own count needs a fix. Capital Recovery shows a short note when the gap is only a typo or a box mix-up, so there is nothing to do. Open each case below for what it says and what to click.

More details

The Uni-ball pens: you boxed 10 but typed 8 on the purchase.Purchases’ Reconcile shows a Sent count typo card: “Amazon counts 10. Your orders say 8 sent.” Fix the count from the card. See Reconcile, card by card on Purchases.
The yarn: you kept 3 back from the box but marked all 10 sent. The box held 7.Reconcile shows a Marked too many sent card: “You marked 10 sent. Your shipments to Amazon list 7.” Its fix sets the sent count to 7, so the 3 you kept count as still with you.
The tea: your box plan said 10, and Amazon counted 12.Nothing is missing, so there is no claim. On Purchases, the sent count’s hover says “The seller told Amazon 10 but it got 12. They sent 2 more than they said. Nothing is missing.”No purchase holds the 2 extra units, so Purchases > Import from Amazon asks about them. Click Yes, add 2 units to add them as a purchase with no cost yet, or Not mine to hide the product there.
A card for Bigelow Tea Steep Lemon Ginger Organic, B01F3TVGPK: Amazon received 2 units in 1 box on Sep 9, and none of your purchases has them. Did you buy these? Buttons Yes, add 2 units and Not mine.

Bigelow tea: the question on Import from Amazon. Notice it asks about the 2 units no purchase has, not all 12.

Say your plan said 12, but you bought 10 and sent 10. Amazon got all 10.Capital Recovery shows a note, not a claim: “You told Amazon 12, but you bought 10. Amazon got all 10. The shipment likely had a typo. Nothing is missing.” You can fix the count on the shipment in Seller Central if you like. SourceDock doesn’t need it.
Say one box came up 2 short and another box of the same product came up 2 over. SourceDock’s note says: “Amazon got 2 units fewer in one box and 2 more in another. They went in the wrong box, so nothing is missing.” No claim.
Say you bought 5 pens on Monday and 5 more on Friday, and sent all 10 in one box. In Capital Recovery the box is listed under the first buy’s batch. A dotted line under its count has a hover: “This shipment is listed under Batch 1, but 5 of its 10 units count toward Batch 2.” Each buy keeps its own units and cost.
The Turtles 18-pack: you bought 12 and made one plan. Amazon sent 7 to one warehouse and 5 to another, so you got two shipments. Both boxes show on the product in Capital Recovery’s SHIPMENTS tab, each with its own “sent · Amazon got” line. All 12 count toward your one purchase. There is nothing to fix. More on each box line: Capital Recovery.
  • Uni-ball Signo white pens: 10 boxed, but typed as 8 on the purchase.
  • Value worsted yarn: 10 marked sent, but 3 kept back, so the box held 7.
  • Bigelow lemon ginger tea: a box of 10 that Amazon counted as 12.
  • Turtles die-cast 18-pack: 12 bought, one plan Amazon split into 7 and 5.
