SourceDockIQ is a small Chrome extension that works with your SourceDock account. It does three things. | It... | How | | ----------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Records Verify outcomes | When you click **Verify** in the [Gate Scanner](/source/gate-scanner), it opens the listing in Seller Central. You click through the page. It reads the outcome Amazon shows and sends it to the scanner. | | Adds ASINs to the Vault from Amazon | Open the side panel on any Amazon product page. The ASIN fills in on its own. Add a buy cost and click **Save to Vault**. | | Knows when you are signed out of Seller Central | If a check needs you signed in, the scanner tells you. | It does not run checks on its own. Every check starts from the scanner in the web app. ## Install and link it On the Command desk, a banner reads **Install the SourceDockIQ extension**. Click **Install**. It opens the Chrome Web Store listing. The listing is not in store search, so use the button. On first run, a page opens titled **Welcome to SourceDockIQ**. It lists what is collected and what is never touched. Click **I Agree**. If you click **Decline**, nothing runs until you agree. Go back to the Command desk and refresh the page. The banner now reads **SourceDockIQ extension detected but not connected.** Click **Connect**. In most cases it connects on its own within a few seconds. There is nothing to copy or paste. The banner goes away once it is connected. Click the icon in Chrome. The status reads **Connected**. On the Gate Scanner, a green **Extension connected** pill sits by the page title. If the connect step fails, the banner shows the reason and a **Retry** button. First, refresh the page. If that does not help, reload it on `chrome://extensions` and try again. ## What it needs | Need | Why | | ----------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | A SourceDock plan | If your plan ends, the popup reads **Subscription Expired** and the desk banner offers **Renew**. | | Your consent | Checks do not run until you agree on the welcome page. You can change your mind later. See [Settings](#settings). | | A Seller Central session for Verify | Sign in to Seller Central in Chrome before you click **Verify**. If you are signed out, the check reads **Not Signed In** and the scanner shows a **Sign in to Seller Central** notice. | ## The popup and side panel Click the icon to open the popup. The side panel shows the same thing and stays open while you browse. Both have these parts. | Part | What it does | | ----------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Status** | A dot and a label: **Connected**, **Not Connected**, or **Subscription Expired**. Your plan name sits beside it. When not connected, a button reads **Connect in SourceDock**. | | **Add to Vault** | Three boxes: **ASIN**, **Source link**, and **Buy cost**. On an Amazon product page the ASIN fills in for you. Click **Save to Vault**. The panel confirms with **Saved to Vault**, **Already in your Vault**, or **Updated in your Vault**. **Open Vault** opens the Vault in a new tab. | | **Vault adds** | Your recent Vault prospects with a search box. Click one to fill the form with its ASIN, link, and cost. | | **Recent checks** | Your last ten Verify outcomes with the ASIN, the outcome, the time, and the confidence. | | **Settings** | A link to the settings page. | ## Settings The settings page has no options to set. It shows your connection state, your plan, and the extension version. It also links to the privacy policy. Two buttons sit there. **Disconnect Account** unlinks it from your SourceDock account. **Revoke Consent** stops all checks and data collection until you agree again. ## What it never does It reads. It does not act. The welcome page states the rules in plain words. * It never clicks buttons, picks options, types, or submits forms on Seller Central. * It never applies for approval for you. * It never changes anything on a page. * It never reads pages outside Seller Central, Amazon product pages, and the SourceDock app. * It never collects page content, your browsing history, your Amazon password, session cookies, or keystrokes. * It never collects your name, email, address, or payment details. Check results are kept on SourceDock servers for 90 days, then deleted. ## Banner states on the desk The desk banner changes with the state. Connected is the quiet state, so no banner shows. | Banner | What to do | | ------------------------------------------------------ | ---------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Install the SourceDockIQ extension** | Click **Install**. If it is already installed, refresh the page. | | **SourceDockIQ extension detected but not connected.** | Click **Connect**. | | **Extension starting up…** | Wait a moment. | | **Your SourceDock subscription has expired** | Click **Renew**. | | **Extension hit an error** | It retries on its own. You can also click **Reconnect**. |
