# Quickstart

> Set up SourceDock in about 15 minutes: sign up, pick a plan, connect Amazon, install the extension, run a scan, and save a prospect.

This guide takes you from a new account to your first saved product. Plan on about 15 minutes. You need an Amazon seller account and the Chrome browser.

  <Step title="Create your account">
    Go to sourcedock.io/signup. The page is called **Create your seller account**.

    1. Type your **First name** and **Last name**.
    2. Type your **Email**.
    3. Type a **Password** of at least 12 characters. Spaces are fine, so a short phrase works well.
    4. Click **Sign up**.

    Or click **Continue with Google**. Then you skip the email check in the next step.

    After **Sign up**, you see a page called **Check your email**. SourceDock sends a link to the address you typed.

  <Step title="Verify your email">
    Open the email and click the link. A page called **Verifying seller email** checks it. When it works, you see **Email verified** and a **Continue to log in** button.

    No email? On the **Check your email** page, click **Resend verification email**. You can resend once a minute.

    Link old or already used? The page says the link is invalid or expired. Type your email and click **Send new verification link**.

      The link only proves the email is yours. It does not log you in. You log in next.

  <Step title="Log in">
    The login page is called **Welcome back, seller**. Type your email and password. Tick **Keep me signed in** if this is your own computer. Click **Log in**. Forgot your password? Click **Forgot password?** under the password box.

    You land on the Command desk. If your email is not verified yet, a bar at the top says **Verify your email**. Checkout and the Amazon connection stay locked until you verify.

  <Step title="Pick a plan">
    A bar at the top of the desk says **Choose a plan to get started**. Click **See plans**. Or click your avatar and pick **Billing & pricing**.

    Each plan card shows its price and the line **Free for 7 days, then** the monthly price. Click **Start Free Trial** on a card. A window called **Subscribe** opens. Stripe runs the payment form inside it. SourceDock never sees your card details. Finish the form.

    You do not need a card to start the trial. Add one before the trial ends to keep your plan. If you do not, the trial stops and nothing is charged.

    SourceDock then shows **Activating your subscription** for a few seconds. The desk opens with your plan on.

      Have an access code? Type it in the **Have an access code?** box on the Billing page and click **Redeem**.

  <Step title="Connect your Amazon seller account">
    On the desk, the next moves list shows **Connect your Amazon seller account**. Click it. Or click your avatar and pick **Connections**.

    Click **Connect Your First Account**. The button changes to **Redirecting...** and Amazon's own consent screen opens. Log in to Seller Central if Amazon asks. Then approve the request.

    SourceDock asks for read access only. It reads restrictions, catalog, pricing, and fees. On Pro and Flagship it also reads settlement data, the record of what Amazon paid you. SourceDock never changes listings or prices. It never sends messages.

    Amazon sends you back to Connections. A message says **Amazon account connected**. The **API status** tile shows **Token healthy**. If it shows something else, see [Connections](/get-started/connections).

  <Step title="Install the SourceDockIQ Chrome extension">
    The extension adds ASINs to your Vault while you browse Amazon. It also records the restriction results you see in Seller Central. It is optional, but it saves a lot of typing.

    On the Command desk, a notice says **Install the SourceDockIQ extension**. Click **Install**. The Chrome Web Store opens. Add the extension to Chrome.

    Go back to SourceDock and refresh the page. The notice now says **SourceDockIQ extension detected but not connected.** Click **Connect**. When the notice goes away, the extension is linked to your account.

  <Step title="Run your first scan">
    Click **Scanner** in the bar at the bottom of the screen. The Gate Scanner tells you what you are allowed to sell before you buy it.

    1. Paste ASINs into the big box, one per line. Amazon links work too. You can also drop a CSV file onto the box.
    2. The counter above the box shows how many ASINs are ready and how many your plan allows per scan.
    3. Click **Scan**. The button shows the count, like **Scan 12 ASINs**.

    Results stream in as Amazon answers. Each ASIN gets a verdict: **Approved**, **Needs approval**, or **Blocked**. Results stay cached for 4 hours, so a repeat scan is fast.

    The **Paste** and **Clear** buttons sit next to **Scan**. The **From Vault** switch at the top scans products you already saved.

    If the hint under the box says **Connect an Amazon seller account to scan**, go back to step 5.

  <Step title="Save your first prospect">
    A prospect is a product you may want to buy. The Vault is where you keep them.

    Click **Vault** in the bottom bar. In the add bar at the top, type or paste one ASIN. Press Enter, or click **Add →**. A panel called **Add to Vault** slides in. It says: paste an ASIN, SourceDock fetches the rest, you confirm the buy cost.

    Type what you would pay for one unit. Click **Add to Vault**. The product appears in your list with its title, price, fees, and profit.
