# Turn features on and off

> Pick which pages ride your bar, add Account health to the Desk, turn on restock reminders and automatic helpers, and set your profit calculator.

Say you never use Scout. You can take it off the bar so the bar only shows what you use. Scout is then one click away in the menu behind your picture.

Go to **Account** > **Features**. For one made-up product walked through the profit calculator and every setting, see [The profit calculator and every setting](https://docs.sourcedock.io/get-started/profit-calculator-and-settings.md). Only the account owner sees this tab. On a wide screen, the **ON THIS PAGE** list on the right jumps to each part and shows if it is **ON** or **OFF**.

## Navigation bar

These are the pages on the bar at the bottom of the screen. Click a tile to turn it on or off.

* A lit tile rides the bar. Hover it to see **Move to profile menu**.
* A tile that is off sits in the menu behind your picture. Hover it to see **Add to the bar**.
* The Desk always stays on the bar.

At the start, the bar has **Alerts**, **Vault**, **Scanner**, **Scout**, **Purchases**, **Recovery**, and **Sales**. **Health** and **Expenses** start in the menu. A page your plan doesn't include stays in the menu. For example, on Premier after the trial, the Sales tile says **Sales is included on Pro.**

Your choices are saved for your login, on every computer.

## Desk

Turn on **Health strip on desk** to put Account health on the Desk in place of the **Needs you** card. Turn it off and **Needs you** comes back.

## Alerts: Restock reminders

Say your best seller is running low at Amazon. A restock reminder tells you before it runs out, so you can buy more in time.

Turn on **Restock reminders**, then open the card to pick:

| Part | What you pick |
| - | - |
| **PRODUCTS** | Profitable products only, or all products. |
| **WHEN** | Remind me when a set percent of stock is left, or by how long it takes you to restock plus some extra days. |
| **SEND TO** | Reminders always show on the Alerts page. You can also get them by email and on your phone. |

Restock reminders come with Capital Recovery, which is part of Pro.

## Automation

These are things SourceDock does for you in the background.

### Purchases: cancel orders that never arrive

Say you ordered 10 units 30 days ago. None was marked received or sent, and Amazon doesn't have them either. SourceDock can cancel that order for you and tell you. You can always uncancel it.

**1. Turn it on**

The switch starts off. Turn on **Auto-cancel purchases that never arrive**. SourceDock first checks your orders.

**2. Pick the days**

Type a number in **Cancel after** … **days**. The box starts at 30. Pick from 14 to 365 days.

**3. Choose what happens now**

If some orders are already past that many days, choose **Turn on and cancel these** to cancel them now, or **Turn on for new orders only**.

The card then says **Cancels after 30 days**, or **Off**. The setting is kept for each store.

### Vault: add new purchases

**Auto Add Purchases to the Vault** puts each product you add to Purchases into your Vault, with the cost from its latest purchase. It only adds products Amazon still sells. Turn it off and SourceDock adds nothing new. Products already in your Vault stay. It starts on.

## Profit calculator

These settings feed the profit numbers in the Chrome extension, the phone app, and the Vault. Change them here and they change there too. Each box saves as soon as you leave it.

| Part | What you set |
| - | - |
| **COSTS** | Prep, shipping to Amazon, and tax. |
| **GOALS** | The ROI and profit you aim for, and how many months a product may sit in storage. |
| **PRICING** | Which price the profit and Max cost use, and the inbound placement fee. |
| **EXTENSION** | Peak-season storage, and how the extension shows things. |

ROI is the profit for each dollar you spend. Max cost is the most you can pay for one unit and still hit your goals.

If you haven't set your own shipping rate, SourceDock shows the rate from your recent boxes, like **Shipping to Amazon: \$0.45/lb, from your recent boxes.**
