# Plans and billing
> The three SourceDock plans, the 7-day trial, how to subscribe and update your card, access codes, and what happens when a plan ends.
The Billing page is where you pick a plan and manage your card. Click your avatar in the bottom bar and pick **Billing & pricing**. Or open the **Billing** tab on the Account page. The heading says **Choose Your Plan**.
## The three plans
All prices are per month in US dollars. Every plan includes the Gate Scanner, the Vault, Scout, Purchases, Alerts, and the SourceDockIQ Chrome extension. Vault prices update on their own every day on every plan.

A prospect is one saved product in your Vault. Capital Recovery is the page that shows what Amazon paid you and what it still owes. Pro is marked **Most Popular** on the page.
The plan cards show live prices from Stripe. If a price ever differs from this table, the card is right.
## The 7-day trial
Every plan starts with 7 days free. You do not need a card to start. Add one before the trial ends to keep your plan. If you do not, the trial stops and nothing is charged.
The badge under the heading shows the days left, such as **Pro ยท Trial 5d**. The plan pill on the Profile tab shows the same. The **Billing** card says when the trial ends.
## Subscribe
Each plan card lists what it includes. Under the price it says **Free for 7 days, then** the monthly price. Click **Start Free Trial** on the plan you want.
A window called **Subscribe** opens inside SourceDock. Stripe runs the form inside it. SourceDock never sees your card details. Fill in the form.
SourceDock shows **Activating your subscription** for a few seconds. If it takes longer, click **Refresh**. Your payment went through.

## Your plan
Once you have a plan, a **Your plan** section shows above the cards. The card you are on shows a **Your plan** badge and a **Current Plan** button.
The **Billing** card shows:

## Update your card
The **Payment method** card shows your card. Click **Update card**. A window called **Update card** opens. Type the new card and click **Save card**. You see **Card updated**. Future charges use the new card.
## Switch, cancel, or see invoices
To move to another plan, click **Switch Plan** on that plan's card. This opens the Stripe billing portal in your browser. The portal is Stripe's own page for your account. Use it to switch plans, cancel, and download invoices.
When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. The badge under the heading shows **Cancels** and the date. The **Billing** card says the same.
## Access codes
An access code gives you a free Flagship plan. SourceDock hands these out for testing. The **Have an access code?** box shows when you have no plan. Type the code and click **Redeem**. You see **Access unlocked**. No card is charged.
## When a plan ends or a payment fails
Your data is never deleted when a plan lapses. You can still log in. The desk stays open. Only the paid pages pause. SourceDock calls this state "paused".
### Trial or plan ended
A bar at the top says **Your access has paused**. Paid pages show a calm box that says the feature **pauses without a plan**. Click **See plans** and pick a plan. Everything turns back on.
### Payment failed
If a charge fails, you have 3 days of grace. A red bar says **Payment failed** and shows the date access ends. Click **Fix payment** to open the Stripe portal and update your card. Access stays on during the 3 days.
After 3 days, the bar says **We could not take payment**. Paid pages say the feature **is paused**. Click **Update payment** and enter a new card. Access comes straight back. You do not need to buy a plan again.
### Moved to a smaller plan
If you had more prospects or storefronts than the new plan allows, nothing is removed. A notice starts with **Nothing was removed**. The newest ones keep getting fresh prices. The rest keep their last known prices and show their age. Click **Upgrade to refresh them all** to make them all live again.
### A feature above your plan
On Premier, the Capital Recovery page says the feature **is included on Pro**. Nothing you recorded is affected. Click **See plans** to move up.
### The Chrome extension
When your plan has ended, the desk shows **Your SourceDock subscription has expired** with a **Renew** button. The extension cannot add ASINs or check listings until you pick a plan again.
