# Command desk
> The home page shows this month's spend, what needs your attention, your next moves, and the newest Scout finds.
The Command desk is the first page you see when you sign in. Every number on it comes from your own data. Nothing is a guess.
## The greeting line
The first line starts with "Good morning", "Good afternoon", or "Good evening", then your first name. Next comes today's spend. For example: "\$120.00 committed today across 2 purchases." Committed means money you spent on buys today.
* If you bought nothing today it says: "The desk is quiet - nothing bought today."
* If your plan is paused it says: "Choose a plan to unlock the Vault, Scanner, and Recovery."
## The four figures
Each figure is a link to the page it comes from. Hover the small label under a number to read what it counts.

| **Deployed this month** | Money spent on purchase orders dated this calendar month. Deployed means money you put to work. It is not the all-time total on Capital Recovery. A small line under it counts this month's purchases. When you spent money this week, it adds that amount too. | Purchases |
| **Recovered** | All the cash Amazon has paid you after fees, plus reimbursements, for all time. It shows in green. | Capital Recovery |
| **Active in Vault** | Prospects still marked active. A prospect is a product you saved to look at. Archived finds are not counted here. | Vault |
| **Units in motion** | Units you bought that are not yet sold, lost, or damaged. It is the same number Capital Recovery calls remaining units. | Capital Recovery |
A figure can show a word instead of a number. **Paused** means your paid plan is not active. It is not a zero. **Unavailable** means the number did not load. A note under it says "This total did not load."
## Attention
This section shows only when you have alerts. An alert is a problem the app found in your data. Hover the word "Attention" to see where alerts come from: Purchases, Capital Recovery, Vault, and Scout.
Each row has a colored dot, a title, and one line that says what to do. Click the row to go straight to the place where you fix it.
The **×** on the right hides that alert for 7 days. Hover it to see "Hide for 7 days". Hiding never deletes an alert. If the problem is still there after 7 days, the alert comes back.
The desk shows three alerts at first. If there are more, a button says "7 more - Show more". Click it to see up to 10 more. Past that, a link says "and 4 more on Alerts". It opens the Alerts page. The count on the right, like "10 alerts", is also a link.

## Next moves
Next moves is your to-do list. Each row starts with a verb. Each row is a link to the page where you do the work. The count on the right, like "7 moves", is how many rows there are.

A small spinner on a Scout row means the count is refreshing.
When there is nothing to do, the list says: "Nothing needs you. Good time to go find the next deal." It adds a link: "Check Scout" if Scout is on, or "Open Vault" if it is not.
If part of your data did not load, a note says "Showing what loaded." It names what could not be checked. If nothing loaded, the list says "Could not load" and names the missing parts.
## The month line
Under Next moves sits one line about this month.

| Small bars | One per day, for up to the last 14 days of this month. A taller bar means more spend that day. Today's bar is green. Hover a bar to see the date and the amount. |

| "est. profit" | The expected profit on this month's buys. It shows a dash when no buy has a known cost. A loss shows in red. Hover it to read the note: this is an estimate from the purchase side, not the net profit on Capital Recovery. |
| "ROI" | A percent. ROI means profit divided by cost. It shows a dash when there is no cost to divide by. |
## Live from Scout
Scout watches other sellers' storefronts and finds new products. This panel shows the newest finds. The green dot pulses because the list refreshes every 60 seconds.
Each row shows the product picture, its name, the storefront, how long ago it was seen, and the price. Up to four rows show. Click a row to open Scout on that storefront. The top right says "118 new" when there are finds you have not looked at.

If Scout is not turned on for your account, this spot shows the month's profit figures instead.
## The extension banner
The SourceDockIQ extension is a Chrome add-on. It lets you add ASINs to your Vault from Amazon and check listings on Seller Central. An ASIN is Amazon's product code.
A banner above the figures tells you the state of the extension. When the extension is connected, the banner goes away.

| "Extension hit an error" | It retries on its own. You can also click **Reconnect**. |
## Other notices
Two notices can show near the bottom of the desk.
* "Amazon connection needs attention", in red. Your Amazon link stopped working. Open Connections to fix it.
* "Keepa API tokens exhausted". Product names, pictures, and prices cannot update until the tokens refill.
## The command deck
The command deck is the floating bar at the bottom of every page. It is how you move around the app. There is no side menu.
From left to right:

| Badges | Alerts shows how many alerts are open. Scout shows how many new finds you have not looked at. Past 99 it says "99+". |
| "Jump or search..." | The search field, with its shortcut key. |
| "Connect Amazon" | Shows only when no seller account is linked. |
| Your avatar | Opens the officer panel. |
### Move the deck
Drag the grip toward any edge of the screen. The deck snaps to the nearest edge: top, bottom, left, or right. On the left or right it becomes a narrow rail of icons. Hover an icon to see its name. The app remembers your choice in this browser.
### Reorder the pills
Drag a pill and drop it on another pill. It moves to that spot. The app remembers the order in this browser.
## Jump or search
Press **Ctrl K** (**⌘K** on a Mac) anywhere in the app. This works even while you type in a box. Or click the "Jump or search..." field on the deck. Press the keys again to close it.
With nothing typed, it lists every page in groups: **Today**, **Source**, **Operate**, and **Account**. Admins also see **Admin**. Under **Actions** you can "Switch to dark theme" (or light) and "Log out". Use the arrow keys and Enter, or click a row.
Type two or more letters to search your data. Results come in groups: Vault, Purchases, Recovery, and Scout. The best match sits at the top under "Best match", with a picture and the places it appears. Matching letters are highlighted. Pick a result to open that page with the search already applied. If nothing matches, it says "Nothing matches that."
## The officer panel
Click your avatar at the right end of the deck. This panel is about you, not your work.

| Links | **Account**, **Billing & pricing**, and **Connections**. Admins also see **Admin console** with an ADMIN tag. |

| **Log out** | Signs you out of the app. |
| Version | The app version, in small print. |
Each link has a chord printed beside it: `,A`, `,B`, `,C`. A chord is two keys pressed one after the other. Press the comma key, then the letter. The app jumps to that page and closes the panel. Chords do not fire while you are typing in a box.
